March 11th Commemoration
Please plan to attend our March 11th commemoration for the disaster that struck Japan last year. Please check back for information on this event. We are still in the process of planning but will provide more details as they develop.
Craft Workshop – Clay baked Japanese Doll Magnets & Pins
When: February 18, 2012
Where: Ottawa Japanese Cultural Centre – 2285 St. Laurent Blvd.
Time: 1:00 pm
At our next craft workshop we will be dressing ready made clay baked dolls with Japanese paper for magnets or pins. (See pictures, courtesy of Robert S. Vibert).
The bodies of the clay dolls have been moulded and baked and the hair already painted. Kits have been made ahead of time so assembly is quite easy to do. There will be step by step instructions. We hope you will come and enjoy making these crafts to raise funds for the Cultural Centre. If you wish to purchase your creative finished product, you will be welcome to do so.
Please bring scissors, ruler and white liquid glue. We do have extra glue available for sharing.
As always we will have refreshments so please come and enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon.
